Instructions for the care of French wire embroidery
French wire metal embroideries are very delicate. They shouldn’t be machine-washed nor dry-cleaned. Avoid all contact with water, acids or alcohol. Please, avoid long exposures to heat and light! To keep your embroideries glossy as long as possible, hold them in the dark places.
Take a special attention to the scissors or wire cutter, when you are working with a French wire. Your tools must be very sharp and without notches, otherwise there will be hooks on the wire. Avoid stretching and deformation of the spring, when you embroidering.
